Anomaly: Warzone Earth Steam key giveaway!

To celebrate the release of Anomaly 2, BundleStars have teamed up with 11 Bit studios, the developer to give away, a limited, number of keys of the game Anomaly: Warzone Earth. The keys can be redeemed on Steam. And since it’s on Steam, it also comes with all the bells and whistles Steam brings along, along with achievements too, all 43 of them, to show off your hard work in the game world.
Anomaly: Warzone Earth is a game set in a post-alien invasion world, where most of the cities have fallen to the Alien overlords. And it is your job to guide convoys and armies safely from one point to another, keeping damages to a minimum, and bypassing alien defenses. It is a reverse tower defense game, which needs you to strategize very accurately in order to keep the losses at a minimum. The generally goes for $9.99, which isn’t a bad deal either, since IGN gave it a 9/10 too!
Just follow the link and click on Get Deal on the right. It’ll open the Facebook page that you need to like and allow an app through. This’ll generate your key, if still available, and also mail to your linked account with instructions. Just redeem the key as you would any normal Steam Game. So you need a Facebook account first.
Also, it’s limited, so HURRY!!!!

HumbleTHQBundle

The Humble Bundle is a wonderful way of both publicizing lesser known games and gather money for Charity, the American Red Cross & Child's Play in this case. Humble Bundle have been known to bring out games from developers that weren't that well known, but games that really needed showcasing. Basically it is a collection of pre-selected games that are put up for sale. The price is "whatever you pay" with a minimum of $1. The "price", rather donation, is split 3-ways, by default, to the publishers, the charity and the HumbleBunlde, as a "humble tip". Though you can customize the donation any way you see fit and can even give the entire amount to anyone recipient. Generally the games have something extras, like Soundtracks in both FLAC and MP3 format for you to download, without any limit. Another feature is that some of the juicier games are locked and becomes unlocked once you pay above the average of the package price, which is calculated by the total payments/total purchases, which is generally waaaaaay lower than the combined prices of all the games.

This time however, strangely, a heavy hitter comes up: THQ, with Eight of their smash hit games (yeah you read that right, it's EIGHT!!!) The games include gems such as RTS Company of Heroes, it's two expansion Opposing Fronts and Tales of Valor, along with survival FPS Metro 2033, TPS Red Faction Armageddon and Hack-n-Slash galore DarkSiders. Along with that, if you pay above the current average of $5.63 (at the time of writing) you unlock RPG Titan Quest, hilarious GTA style open-world Saints Row The Third and Red Faction Armageddon DLC Path to War. In addition to these you get the soundtracks of Saints Row The Third, DarkSiders, Red Faction Armageddon and 2 from Company of Heroes, as long as your contribution is above $1. It's so unbelievable that it's almost a steal! There is no limit to how much you want to contribute. And the icing on the cake is that all the game unlocks on Valve's excellent online distribution platform Steam! Payment can be done through PayPal, Amazon Payments and Google Wallets. Plus all major Credit Cards are accepted too.

The sale's still good for 3 and a half days (at the time of writing), so go grab your copies soon! Things like this happen only once in a blue moon! (And if you can contribute something to charity too.)

E3 2012

Having covered E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) last year (well sort of, from my home thanks to live streams on Gamespot. Though I really wish I had a pass to be there personally), I'm excited about this year's E3 too. The reason should be obvious enough, I mean any self-respecting and sane gamers should be excited about it. So just like last year, here are the timings for the E3 2012 Schedule to be streamed live by GameSpot, albeit a little earlier than last year's 3 hours earlier time frame! E3 will be running from June 4th to June 8th. And just like last year GameSpot has a dedicated site for E3 that can be reached at e3.gamespot.com

Below are the individual dates and the timings of the E3:

Thursday, June 7th

E3 2012 LiveCam Tour 1, Day 3 : 10:00 am - 5:00 pm PT
E3 2012 LiveCam Tour 2, Day 3 : 10:00 am - 5:00 pm PT
E3 2012 Bonus Stage, Day 3 : 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm PT

P.S: The timings are courtesy of GameSpot, though one could also find other streams, like IGN for example., though I prefer GameSpot. (It has nothing to do with the fact that Jane Douglas is the host for GameSpot, or that she's cuter than Jessica Chobot). Also the timings are in Pacific Time, so you need to adjust it with your timezone.

Now hopefully BSNL woun't disappoint me and give me the constant connection it has been giving me always (keeping my fingers though)
